SWEET AS

Hey hey hey my beloved North American family and friends! So much adventure so little time. So I am totally writing this first blog post from down under in the land of the Kiwis- the South Island of New Zealand!!
The land is crazy beautiful, the people are unbelievably friendly, the lingo is bursting with flavor "heaps" "sweet as" "trundler" and "chicadee" are a few of the most recent ones I have heard- the food is delightfully delectible and vegan friendly! Besides the bountiful flow of ipods and digital cameras and internet usage, I feel like I am living 100 years ago in this community atmosphere. We all learn together, do work duties--I was blessed with cleaning the main bathroom this first week-HA! what a great intro!, eat together, tour together...everything is TOGETHER! And I live in one room with 14 girls!
I have already managed to rapel down waterfalls, flip off ledges into canyon bowls of water, slid down the rocks backwards, talk to everyone from Scottish to Japanese people, already seen two people come to Christ in downtown Christchurch and talked to many more about God and what He has done in my life. All the people here are quite amazing and I think I am rapidly picking up the accent! I can't wait to write more, this is just a practice to see if this blog madness really works! Cheerio!

Hehe... sounds like a grand time already, Jen.

Now here's what I really want to know: are all 14 of those girls sharing a single bathroom?

Keep rockin it down there and keep us updated as time allows. Congrats on coming this far! To infinity and beyond.

Wow. Internet access in New Zealand? What's next? Women voters? Integrated schools?
